The agonizing wait for new things to do in Bungie's
shared-world shooter is almost over.While Destiny Update 2.
The Destiny news will be unveiled through Bungie's Twitch channel Thursday, June 9th at 10 a.Players can expect to learn "about the next threat that you'll confront as Guardians," followed by a "deeper dive with the development team.
In an announcement on their website, Destiny developers Bungie have started to give us a clue about what will be coming in the next installment of the Destiny universe.They have confirmed that players will not be able to play Destiny 2 with any of their current powers or possessions, including Eververse items or currencies, which would have been built up during the first game.
Once more the Speaker is talking to us, he's back and is briefly seen in the trailer.Whatever the reason for him finding his voice again, it's nice for fans to have a character returning from the vanilla portion of Destiny.
Today Bungie seemingly begrudgingly confirmed the existence of Destiny 2 by tweeting out Destiny 2 's official logo.It will also be interesting to see how Bungie follows up on Destiny 1's success and to see if they improve on the lack of in-game lore outside of the Bungie website, a common criticism of Destiny 1.
A couple days ago we were treated to a teaser trailer for Destiny 2.Today we were given a full a reveal trailer that officially told us the release date: September 8th.
So the question to ask is; what can Destiny 2 improve upon and do to avoid it having the same fate as its predecessor?Then with the release of Titanfall 2 back in October, it sold well below expectations -- now sure you can blame this on the monstrous release schedule from fall of last year, but how exactly can Destiny 2 also avoid this same fate?
