Inspired by the Halo universe, this Flight Deck Officer jacket is a military-style parka based on in-game UNSC apparel with elements from Master Chief's armor. So the hood is shaped like Master Chief's helmet. The decorative stitching on the jacket recalls MJOLNIR armor. There's a UNSC patch screenprinted on the left bicep, "UNSC" on the back of the right shoulder, and "Deck Crew" across the back. Available for purchase from ThinkGeek at an exclusive 48% off (regularly $249.99).It's a heavy jacket. Literally. The large we have here weighs almost 4 lbs., which tells you a bit about how serious the cotton outer and padded lining are. The shell is water-repellent, made from carbon-coated twill. (Being carbon-based lifeforms ourselves, we didn't inquire as to where the carbon came from.) It zips shut under a storm flap, plus it also snaps and buckles closed over top, so it ain't coming open in the wind. It has a chin guard design that you can take advantage of just by zipping it all the way up. The sleeves feature hook-and-loop at the wrists that you can adjust to ensure the wind doesn't sneak up your sleeves. There are two zipped pockets on the front, two flap pockets, and two inner pockets, each of which are big enough for your phone. Or your plasma grenades.
