A film crew was hired to document the tagging of a number of great white sharks along the coast of Australia. The tags allow researchers to study their movement patterns. The group tagged several sharks, including one massive Great White, code-name: Shark Alpha.
Four months after Shark Alpha was tagged, the tag washed ashore. The data from the tag was incredible. It revealed the shark dove deep and had a raised temperature. The only explanation was the giant shark had been eaten.
